Albert Einstein Receiving His U.S. Citizenship

He had one of the most brilliant minds in modern history. But he suffered physically from a variety of digestive ailments and was believed to have had a form of autism.

Yet, Albert Einstein continued to contribute to the body of knowledge within the field of theoretical physics. He fled his native Germany when Adolph Hitler came to power and became a U.S. citizen in 1940.

Despite his physical problems, Dr. Einstein left a tremendous scientific legacy to the people of the world. That’s why I have chosen him as my person of the week — another example of someone living well despite chronic illness!
